Denise Peterson, GIS Analyst/Wildlife Biologist

Denise Peterson has a certification in Geographic Information Systems and Wildlife Chemical Immobilization and Handling. She has studied Natural Resources Management with an emphasis in Wildlife Biology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. She’s worked in the Peruvian Amazon studying predator-prey dynamics by tracking radio-collared ocelots. She’s also conducted remote camera and GIS studies of Amazonian felids (puma, jaguar, ocelot, margay, and jaguarundi) by analyzing spatial and temporal land use. Denise has also constructed a predictive dispersal model for mountain lions throughout the Midwest.
