In 2016, Y2U adopted the 1.2-mile Limber Pine Trail in the Bear River Range in the Uinta Wasatch Cache National Forest. This trail is a frequently visited location near Bear Lake and can get over a hundred visits per day. By adopting this trail, maintaining the educational signage, and visiting with hikers, Y2U can stimulate more interest in the Corridor and its ecology, human impacts and the appreciation of nature. This is fun work and when we are out doing maintenance, we get questions from the visitors, which provides additional opportunities to educate. Y2U replaced the nature trail educational signage along with a clear Lexan protective cover this fall.
